Some good news, both on a personal level, and for the blog as well. We're fortunate in that Indian writer Sunny Singh is going to be posting a piece on this blog - this is particularly hallowed ground, since she will become the first official guest contributor for The Buddha Smiled. You can read more about Sunny at her website here. I'm also especially pleased because that this blog is listed on her website as her favourite blog!
I haven't seen the piece that is to be posted just as yet, but from what I've been told by its author, it is a piece in which Sunny discusses her motivations for writing about the practice of sati in her latest novel, With Krishna's Eyes. She's clarified some of her reasoning here, but hopefully the article on our blog can shed more light on the matter.
I promise I'll post the article as soon as I get it.
